Hi,
This list and the bndtools list do not handle new users questions very well when there are requests
for assistance that cover general use of technologies in both areas.
Also some questions (mine in a lot of cases) do not need to be loaded onto the experts that provide
assistance to us all on both of the lists.
So getting to the point
I have just started up a google group that has one of it's priorities to provide a learning
environment for new users of OSGi, Bndtools and enRoute.
Although it is set up to discuss my project, The Diderot Network, it is intended to use the project
code (and other code as necessary) as a learning experience for all.
It could also be considered as a self help environment as well.
I am intending to provide learner videos to help ease new users of the OSGi tools and the new Maven
Bndtools techniques, as soon as I can do it myself :-)
This is an open invitation to anyone interested to join the group and ask your questions and perhaps
provide answers to questions that would be just noise in the Bndtools and OSGi dev lists.
The list is moderated and has rules, and will develop more rules, as it
develops.

I think that this list is not the forum to discuss jpm4j which is perhaps why it was suggested to
take the discussion off list.

I think the details would be better discussed in a public thread rather
than a private one, imho.

Hi Paul,
There are some changes for using maven based repositories vs jpm4j
based repositories. For
example in 3.3 bndtools plugin started using mvn like xml files
instead of jpm4j like
.json files.
Please send me a private message and i am happy to discuss the details.
Cheers

From a new install of eclipse (neon) and bndtools 3.3 and following the
enRoute starting
tutorial
for a separate workspace and git dir.
The option to find bundles with jpm4j is not available.
For example before I had this problem, if I typed gson in the
repository search box I was
offered
the opportunity to find it in jpm4j.
Anyone else had this problem?
