Hi,
We have successfully used different combinations of Knopflerfish and
various JVM:s for the embedded linux space. Both open source (cacao,
sable, mika, jam etc) and commercial (Sun CDC, J9, jbed etc). Each
combination with its pros&cons.
If there is something lightweight also depends on how you define
lightweight;-)
We haven't tried Java SE for embedded yet, but since it's standard
Java and a superset of the minimum execution environment it
should/will work.

Hello, thx for your response.
So there isn't something to take care, regarding the OSGi perspective.
Our OSGi - knowledge is also valid for an embedded system. Things we
must take under consideration are jvm/cpu/storage/ram, right?
For example, if I have an ARM family processor how can I be informed
about running OSGi there? Where would you look such information
(compatibility etc), if you had available a bunch of jvms and someone
says to you... pick the most appropriate CPU to do your work...
Thx,
