Swiss Minister Shuts Down Website for Posting Mohammed Cartoons 12 February 2006 | 20:22 | FOCUS News Agency Stockholm. Swiss Liberal Party accused Foreign Minister Leila Freivalds of ordering Swiss internet provider to shut down its website for publishing Prophet Mohammed cartoons, EFE reports. The party intends to ask explanation from the government on account of shutting down the website. In connection to cartoons published on the Internet the Foreign Minister appealed to media to be more responsible and apologized to Muslims. Swiss diplomacy got in touch with governments of Muslim countries and clearly stated the Swiss government is against publishing these cartoons in European newspapers.
