US soldier killed in Iraq _____ Associated Press, THE JERUSALEM POST May. 11, 2006 _____ A roadside bomb hit a US Army convoy southwest of Baghdad on Thursday, killing one soldier, the military said. The attack occurred at about 6:30 a.m., the US command said, without providing any more details. The name of the Multinational Division-Baghdad soldier was withheld pending notification of his relatives. The attack raised to at least 2,426 the number of members of the US military who have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
