CAIR-Canada Shocked! Demands Action by Canadians The recent arrests of 17 suspected Muslim terrorists has shocked the Canadian branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). The alleged attacks were apparently planned against a variety of targets, including the Canadian Parliament, the Prime Minister, and other government buildings: <http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,198796,00.html> http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,198796,00.html CAIR-Canada (CAIR-CAN) was apparently caught off guard by the arrests, as indicated by the comments of Karl Nickner, CAIR-CAN's executive director: "The events came as a surprise, a shock to the Muslim community. It's a wake-up call." However, just how "shocked" was CAIR? Sayyid Ahmed Amiruddin, a Muslim religious leader in Toronto had this to say about some of the suspects: "They would enter into the mosque to pray, and they would pray in a very aggressive manner, and they would come in military fatigues and military touques and stuff. It looked to me that they were watching a lot of those Chechnyan jihad videos online and stuff." <http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national/2006/06/08/amiruddin08062006.html> http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national/2006/06/08/amiruddin08062006.html Why didn't Amiruddin inform authorities of this strange behavior? "Pray in a very aggressive manner?" Military fatigues? What would it take for Amiruddin to report these incidents to law enforcement, and why did he fail to do so? Perhaps it is because of groups like CAIR and CAIR-CAN, who regularly inform Muslims that they have the "right" not to speak to law enforcement.but yet both encourage their members to complain to the very same authorities whenever they are even slightly made to feel uncomfortable over their faith. Nickner's request is somewhat more subdued than that of CAIR-CAN board member Shahina Siddiqui who is also executive director of the Islamic Social Services Association (ISSA).Ms. Siddiqui had this to say: "We are part of Canadian society, we demand Canadian society come forward to help us root out the problems." "Demand?" Just who is Siddiqui to be making demands and why is the Canadian government predisposed to listen to anything she and her CAIR-CAN cronies have to say? >From what we know, Canadian authorities helped the Muslim community, and Canadians in general, by arresting these misdirected Muslim youths before they had the chance to terror-murder innocents in the name of their warped version of god. Only CAIR is delusional enough to believe that Canadian society is to blame for a situation that CAIR itself helped create and now supports. If Nickner, Siddiqui, and other Canadian Muslims want to know who is responsible for the sorry state of Islam in North America, perhaps they should address their questions to the nearest mirror? Then, peaceful Muslims can address the question of why they accept the presence of CAIR and CAIR-CAN as representatives of Islam in North America.CAIR was founded by Muslim terrorists, is supported by Muslim terrorist supporting countries, and has been proven to be a Muslim terrorist supporting front group with Muslim terrorists on staff.are these the types of groups North American Muslims want representing their faith? Hate groups, whatever their message, have no place in civil society. If North American Muslims want to be taken seriously, they must speak out against CAIR and CAIR's hateful messages. North American Muslims, for far too long, have allowed their message of peace to be distributed by those who not only do not hunger for peace, but work actively to subvert the very countries that provide them sanctuary. When will North American Muslims understand that they have to meet their fellow citizen's half-way? Making demands does nothing to enhance their image, especially when the demands are totally unjustified and made in their name by the representative of a Muslim hate group.
