Jammu, July 9 (PTI): Busting a network of overground modules of Lashker-e-Toiba and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen in Jammu and Kashmir, police uncovered six top terror networks and arrested 33 militants associated with them in the first six months of this year, top intelligence sources said today. "As many as six terror modules of LeT and HM were busted till June this year in Jammu and Kashmir and 33 militants associated with them were arrested," they said. Giving details, the sources said on July 05, 2006 five militants of a top Hizb module, including divisional ccommander Central Kashmir Manzoor Wani, District Commander Budgam/Srinagar Yaseen Itoo and car blast expert Ayaz were arrested from Srinagar. "It was a major success as this module was instrumental in triggering several car bombs in Srinagar," they said. Another LeT module, involved in the massacre of Nepali labourers and triggering of several grenade blasts in the valley, was busted in south Kashmir and 10 militants associated with it arrested on June 17, they said. A module of Hizb was busted in Anantnag district and six militants arrested on June five, they said adding this group had also attacked NC leader Ali Mohmmad Naik in Pulwama. Five militants, including Commander Aijaz Bhat, were arrested when police busted a Hizb module in Srinagar on March 20 which was involved in triggering car bomb explosions, they said.
