U-S warns North Korea against nuclear test WASHINGTON North Korea is getting a stern warning from the Bush administration that a nuclear test would be considered "reckless." The communist country announced plans today for such a test, claiming it faces an "extreme threat of nuclear war" from the U-S. But the way Washington sees it, any danger would be coming from a North Korean test. A State Department spokesman says if the North did it, that would pose an "unacceptable threat to peace and stability" for the world. There's no indication from the North when it might hold a nuclear test, but South Korea is wasting no time in raising its security level. And America's U-N ambassador plans to raise the matter at today's Security Council meeting.
