  Police shoot terror suspect

Members of the Botswana Police Service yesterday morning fatally shot a 
25-year-old suspect, Ditshotlo Oitshupile, otherwise known as Serious at 
Sexase cattle post near Letlhakane village in Boteti.


The police have been involved in a massive manhunt for the suspect since 
March this year. Oitshupile was wanted for a total of 10 cases that 
include attempted murder (four cases), armed robbery (one), stealing 
stock (one), house breaking and theft (one), assault occasioning actual 
bodily harm (one), rape (one) and attempted rape (one).

The deceased, believed to have been armed and dangerous, had also shot 
and injured a total of four people during the commission of the crimes. 
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
