No legislation contrary to teachings of Islam allowed: Aziz BRUSSELS: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said Pakistan's Constitution did not allow any legislation contrary to the teachings of Islam. Addressing Pakistani community here in Brussels Pakistan prime minister said that he would hold important discussions with the leaders of Belgium, the European Union and senior officials of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (Nato). He said that the structural reforms, made by the government in the last couple of years in various sectors, have been showing positive results and there has been improvement in job opportunities, economy and foreign investment. He said there has been more than 3.5 billion dollars direct investment during the first six months of the current fiscal year and the target during the fiscal year is dollars five billion. He said all the legislation to ensure rights of the women has been in accordance with the Holy Quran and Sunnah as Pakistan's Constitution did not allow any legislation contrary to the Holy Quran and Sunnah. ‘ He said during his three-day visit to Brussels, he will hold meetings with European Union leadership and NATO to further promote bilateral, trade and economic relations. +++ -------------------------- Want to discuss this topic?
