Rafsanjani urges expansion of ties with Kyrgyzstan Tehran, Feb 26, IRNA Iran-Kyrgyzstan-Rafsanjani Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani here Monday called for further expansion of Tehran-Bishkek economic and trade cooperation. Receiving Kyrgyz Ambassador to Tehran Avazbek Agakhanov, he said promotion of bilateral relations is in the interest of both nations. Underscoring the need for further activation of various regional organizations including the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), he said understanding the importance of regional organization will help member states achieve more progress economically. Urging promotion of all-out ties between the two countries, the Kyrgyz ambassador said his country attaches importance to its ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
