ROJ TV CLAIMS TURKEY BUILDING UP MILITARY PRESENCE ON IRAQI BORDER
http://jamestown.org/terrorism/news/article.php?articleid=2373413

A May 18 broadcast on Roj TV, a Denmark-based satellite channel supportive
of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), claimed that the Turkish military has
increased its operations in southeast Turkey and on the border with northern
Iraq. Referring to southeastern Turkey as "northern Kurdistan," the report
discusses an increase in fighting between Turkish and Kurdish forces in
Tunceli, Diyarbakir and Siirt, and that peshmerga forces are being deployed
along the Turkish-Iraqi border (Roj TV, May 18; Terrorism Focus, April 24).
According to the report, the Turkish military has amassed "tens of thousands
of troops" on the border and has set up temporary military installations in
Hakkari province, which is located at the juncture of Turkey, Iraq and Iran.
Turkey has increased its rhetoric toward northern Iraq recently and has
threatened that it may intervene in the area to eliminate the threat it
faces from the PKK. (F)AIR USE NOTICE: All original content and/or articles

law by Section 107 of The Copyright Act of 1976. "Fair Use" legally
eliminates the need to obtain permission or pay royalties for the use of
previously copyrighted materials if the purposes of display include
"criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research."
Section 107 establishes four criteria for determining whether the use of a
work in any particular case qualifies as a "fair use". A work used does not
necessarily have to satisfy all four criteria to qualify as an instance of
"fair use". Rather, "fair use" is determined by the overall extent to which
the cited work does or does not substantially satisfy the criteria in their
totality. If you wish to use copyrighted material for purposes of your own
that go beyond 'fair use,' you must obtain permission from the copyright
owner. For more information go to:
