July 17 2007 My above title will agitate, anger, and appall many readers; however, my recommendation to bomb Islam's holist sites to the stone age is not driven by anger, hatred, bigotry, or xenophobia but is in the interests of our own people! It is a fact that Muslims are trying to kill you. They want to destroy our cities and dominate our lives. They will strike again with far more catastrophic results than happened on 9-11. All our national leaders are aware that an attack is inevitable. Some are talking of nuclear attack while others warn of massive biological attack. Whatever, hundreds of thousands of us will die at the hands of peaceful, loving, Muslims. Muslim leaders have clearly threatened to destroy our nation. The nutty president of Iran told a huge crowd in Teheran "Is it possible for us to witness a world without America and Zionism? But you should know that this slogan and this goal are achievable, and certainly can be achieved." The crowd chanted, "Death to America!" In your heart, you know he is not very smart but in your gut, you know he is a nut, but he is a nut with nuclear weapons and billions of petro-dollars to spend on other weapons and the financing of suicide bombers. Furthermore, we are only a single bullet away from Taliban-type control in Pakistan, a member of the nuclear club! President Pervez Musharraf has had five attempted assassinations by his peaceful, law-abiding Muslim citizens. Moreover, bin Laden is thought to be hiding in Pakistan or next door in the mountains of Afghanistan. With the death of Musharraf, bin Laden could probably march into Karachi from the south and up the Indus River taking every major city without once firing his AK-47! Now that would be a pretty mess! It is impossible to circumvent every possible attack from numerous groups and apprehending the perpetrators after the fact will not be any consolation to hundreds of thousands of innocent victims. Nor will it rebuild our cities or replace trillions of dollars lost in a plunging stock market. The fact is that nothing can be done to assure us there will not be another attack, so desperate measures are necessary. Do we sit on our fat bottoms, wring our hands, and wait for Muslim terrorists to strike? What good will that do? What good will result in doing nothing until one or two major cities are in rubble? My suggestion is take offensive action. The only possible way I can see that we might, I say might, escape another Muslim attack upon our nation is for President Bush to issue the following declaration to the world: "My fellow Americans, as your President my primary responsibility is to protect and defend the U.S. I am not interested in world opinion or in playing games at the UN. Our intelligence reveals that Muslim terrorists are planning to hit us again; furthermore, terrorist leaders have promised that our cities will be in ruins. I believe them so I have been authorized by the Congress to make the following promise: Within 24 hours following an attack upon the U.S., our Air Force will bomb Mecca and Medina into the "Stone Age." Innocent Saudi Arabian civilians will have 24 hours from the attack on us to flee the two cities that will be razed. "Let no one be deceived as to our motive. We don't want to harm any person nor do we desire any territory, and there is no reason for anyone to be killed-as long as there is no attack against our nation. This decision was made to protect U.S. citizens; however, if there is a choice between us and them, it will be them who die. Moreover, Muslim leaders will be the ones who pull the trigger on their own people. If Muslim leaders want to destroy their two holy cities, then they will do so by attacking us. We will respond in 24 hours. May God protect and bless America." Such a declaration might be a deterrent if our enemies really believe we will carry out the threat. We might drop leaflets over Mecca and Medina and make announcements on Al-Jazeera television warning civilians to flee before the 24 hours expire and the bombs start falling. Mecca was Mohammed's home and is the location of the Kaaba, Islam's holy temple where two million Muslims worship Allah the pagan moon god every year. One of the pillars of Islam is for each Muslim to visit Mecca once in a lifetime. If we destroy it, no Muslim will be able to obey one of Islam's five requirements. What will that do to Muslim theology? You don't like my suggestion? You think it is extreme? What is your suggestion? If New York or Washington is in flames tomorrow with hundreds of thousands of citizens dead, including many Muslims, Americans will demand retaliation. So why not pull out of the mothballs the tactic used successfully during the cold war and make it very costly for barbarians to strike us again? If they hold off and control the fanatics then we will not bomb their cities. Such a threat will also tend to prompt sensible Muslims to report planned attacks. I have a hunch that Bush will not follow my suggestion and will do nothing for fear that the boys at CAIR may get their knickers in a knot. Therefore, if Houston in 2007 resembles Hiroshima in 1945, all sane Americans will hold Bush and his "peaceful" Muslims responsible for his refusal to act in our defense. A little deterrence can go a long way. Until I hear a better plan, I like mine better than any being offered; after all, waiting for an attack is not a plan. A serious warning to bomb "holy" cities could save a million American lives.
