MB Comes to the Inaugural Jan 14 Written by: Diana West Wednesday, January 14, 2009 7:11 PM <http://www.dianawest.net/Home/tabid/36/rssid/5/Default.aspx> <http://assets.goodmagazine.com/uploaded/images/masthead_image/508/Mattson.j pg> Jeffrey Imm writes in with an AP report about the January 21 Inaugural prayer service to take place at the National Cathedral in Washington. Among those officiating will be Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). This is an outrage and should be stopped. What's ISNA? As I have written (here <http://dianawest.net/Home/tabid/36/EntryId/550/Ellison-and-Obama-Part-2.asp x> , for instance), the US government has identified ISNA <http://www.investigativeproject.org/documents/case_docs/423.pdf> as a Muslim Brotherhood front organization. Actually, the Muslim Brotherhood itself <http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/groupProfile.asp?grpid=6386> has identified ISNA as a Muslim Brotherhood front organization. And the Muslim Brotherhood is all about extending Islamic law globally--even in America. According to its 1991 grand strategy <http://www.investigativeproject.org/document/id/20> document, the Muslim Brotherhood "must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and Allah's religion is made victorious over all other religions." >From the AP: <http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090114/ap_on_re_us/inauguration_religion_2> A prayer will be offered at the National Cathedral by Ingrid Mattson, the first woman president of the Islamic Society of North America, according to an official who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information. The Islamic Society, based in Indiana, is the nation's largest Muslim group. Three rabbis, representing the three major branches of American Judaism, will also say a prayer at the service, according to officials familiar with the plans. The Jewish clergy are Reform Rabbi David Saperstein, Conservative Rabbi Jerome Epstein and Orthodox Rabbi Haskel Lookstein, sources said. The rabbis, and anyone else invited, should decline to appear with ISNA. It may be better to be a live jackal than a dead lion, but it is better still to be a live lion. And usually easier. - Robert A. Heinlein [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ -------------------------- Want to discuss this topic?
