I have found him to be quite skilled working with open space and committed to creating the environment you have described. He is a muscian himself. He is not on this list to my knowledge but has a email connect on his website. I think you will find him quite knowledgeable, committted and successful at achieving what you have described. In fact my first event was with 175 people to look at the future of the theatre sector. It worked because the whole system (actors, directors, administrators, companies across Scotland, funders and the media) was in one room - a trolly shed converted into a gigantic gallery. The group established a new set of priorities including children's theatre, which the Council wanted to promote but did not know how to do. While the event was in 1997, people still talk about the change that took place. So, if you can get everyone who has an interest and stake in "the artistic community," they will identify their key issues and find ways to deal with them. Good luck!
