Thanks, Larry, for a good discussion of things most of us have experienced. When someone says, "I was at a meeting where we used Open Space, but it didn't work very well," I always wonder what the facilitator or sponsor left out.
I personally like the phrase "Open Space Technology," because for me that implies a process that can be recognized and replicated. A reliable process.
