Hi Karen,
I like your comments about ensuring that the manager and facilitator are on the
same page. It is really the manager (sponsor) who opens the space in the
organization for the facilitator to open the space for the event. And when it
is all about Spirit, lining up with Spirit would be the way to go. Or surprises
might surface that one doesn't like.

Sorting out the "givens" ahead of time is critical in Open Space.

Hi - I am brand new to this list serve but have worked with OS type processes
and workshops. My thinking is that you are accountable for holding the space
and you will be giving that up if you allow for such a large unknown. I would
want to have a conversation with the manager and secure her buy in for the
p[rogram frst or you may both be proceeding with different intentions for the
day. Jus some thoughts.
Blessings, Karen
