I had an idea about the continuity side of the question as well. Continuity is when the same patterns continue for a while.. "A while" could be a very long time from our meager perspective on earth. Organizational Structure is our attempt to "hard-wire" pattern in order to make it more "efficient" and to exert some controls. Hard wiring pattern is not bad and is essential. I want my bones to say "hard-wired" for awhile. But as you say, the pattern will eventually come to chaos, to its toxic state as Harrison calls it, in the process of becoming what is next. I also believe that there is a "deep" continuity, universal, holy, loving that is beyond what we can understand but can be connected to in the process of becoming. It (she, he) transcends the big bang of emergent order out of chaos, and all the little bangs that are happening all the time, and the big crunch, if and when it happens.
