Dylene, thank you for your kind words. And I too love that people are beginning to come forward as a whole person, take risks in that way about getting employment, and are removing themselves from "a resume and a label".
Tomorrow I am facilitating an Open Space for the Toronto group of Fast Company magazine. The day is entitled "Transform the World of Work--Design the Life You Love". I am so excited to be a part of this discussion and a movement towards reclaiming ourselves as the special people we all are. It is my hope that many people will love the experience of Open Space too! In this format, certificates are an important visual. I was shown such a binder and was so very, very impressed. It was a well done way of telling a life story that is much more than just the standard education and job experience. >> I did consider that I could present "certificates of accomplishment" which honoured the persons and didn't bring me into a position of "certifier". Birgitt, I loved your solution to this--a certificate of accomplishment. And I also love the thinking that someone out there might be hiring a "person", not just a resume. Dylene
