Dear all,

The recent correspondence has been interesting and illuminating. We have
tangled with this area ( our "socialised" National Health Service) in
Scotland for some time - the only sector we have not worked in.
One definite problem has been some strange " Open Spaces" run before which "
have not worked", we were told, although not run by anybody of any reputation.
It is also an inordinately conservative service, very rsistant to change, and
poorly managed.
Now, however, we can announce that we will be working with one Health Board (
which contains two Trusts), in Scotland, and running the largest public
participation exercise, based on Open Space, ever run, certainly in Scotland.
The theme will be on future improvements in health care. The public sessions
will also be open to staff, ( who are members of the public!), and there will
also be two large OSs for staff themselves.
We will keep you informed of progress, hopefully with news in Berlin,

Best wishes to everyone,

Eddie Palmer and Kerry Napuk
