I LOVE that this conference, coming from folks who have been strongly guided by Appreciative Inquiry, will be held in Open Space! Is anyone on the list involved?

This will be a unique intergenerational gathering of learning activists from all over the world, including Chicago, India, Scotland, Serbia, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, UK, Chile, Denmark, Australia, Pakistan, Israel, Detroit, and Los Angeles. These passionate change agents, including many young adults, will be arriving in Chicago ready to share their distinctive stories and approaches. The conference is designed to foster powerful learning exchange through the use of open space technology and the arts. This will be an uncommon opportunity to design and help create space (physical, mental, relational, electronic) for a global worldwide movement of community imagination and transformation. Imagine Chicago will debut at this conference a "possibility publication" in which we will share the core conceptual frameworks, tools and resources of our own work over the past ten years. We will be hosted at the world-renowned Field Museum in the Maori meeting house, a venue highly appropriate to the coming together of our world in ways that are both ancient and new. If you have been imagining yourself participating in the IC conference, I strongly encourage you to ACT now to take advantage of the "imagination in action" registration discount we are making available only until August 12. For those who register by August 12, the learning exchange registration fee will be discounted from $450 to only $250 (and this includes a ticket to the 10th anniversary gala celebration on September 13). Registration forms are available online at http://www.imaginechicago.org/conference.html. We are also able to make available excellent accommodations both at a state-of-the-art hostel right at Grant Park near the Museum ($24/night!) or at the Congress Hotel across from the hostel ($109/night). These accommodations are only available at these prices through August 15th so it is imperative you act now if you plan to come and take advantage of these deals. We so hope you can participate. Please feel free to call or email me with any questions. We look forward to your participation with great hope and expectation.
