Hi, The practice of having a marketplace for crafts at a conference with people from different countries has been part and parcel of scouting and guiding conferences for years. Even the world conferences have them. It is indeed very useful for delegations on low budgets as a means of recouping some of the costs. As we all know the official cost of attending events does not always cover the unofficial costs even if its only a cup of coffee or a phone call home. The same idea is also used to raise funds for a particular cause.
