thank you for asking, harrison. i just spent the last 30 hours in
bethlehem. as you may have heard, this little city is under siege by
israeli military after the recent terrorist bombing which killed about a
dozen israeli's. last night, we spent the evening with an inspiring
palestinian man who was invited to the open space meeting you facilitated
in italy. unfortunately, the israeli govt denied him going. he heard very
positive things about the meeting. he is well-known in palestinian
circles. at nine oclock pm, while sitting in his house, a bomb went off,
making the sky bright outside and causing a shake. israeli's had blown up
a house about 50 yards away. fortunately, they had gotten the people out
before they did it. apparently, the israeli military is going to continue
to keep bethlehem under curphew until they demolish numerous homes of
people they feel have been implicated in suiced bombings during the last
several months.
i will be here until december 4th. during my last three days here, i will
be with avner.
