Interesting discussion as always.

We just helped open space for the "Federal Sustainability Summit", in Washington DC last week. It was jointly convened with the Office of the Federal Environmental Executive at the White House (yes, there is one), and the Office of Sustainability of the Environmental Protection Agency; about 80 senior execs from across government participated.

Some time ago, I replace the law of two feet with the "law of mobility", prompted when an open space we were doing with the health care industry including several non-ambulatory folks. We've never reverted, and have created a poster for the law that includes footprints, a winding path, and a bird.

By the way, I encourage all who are so inclined to register as a partner in the "United States Partnership for the Decade of Education for Sustainable Development" (www.uspartnership.org). Open Space as a methodology and an ethic supports sustainability in a profound way.

Best to all -
