I think it is Open Space but they may not have learned Open Space
Technology as a particular approach to Open Space. The XP (Extreme
Programmers) and SCRUM networks in Toronto have found that Open Space
Technology parallels some of their practices and helps them get clearer
on issues of adoption. I led an OST for that community and now, one of
their folks, with a little coaching help just lead a portion of a
conference with OST. I heard yesterday that it was quite successful --
magic. Some, including the conference organizer had experienced
modified versions of OST before but were quite amazed at what happened
when the space was really opened. Some of the North American leadership
in this movement were here for the event.
