MessageHi everybody: Given the conversation on this list including that concerning the "new science", and a reference to Humberto Maturana and his Biology of Cognition, I thought that information on the upcoming conference might be of interest to many. The Wel-Systems Institute in Ottawa, Canada, is hosting this conference in Toronto in May, which features Dr. Bruce Lipton, the cellular biologist who is shaking traditional thought through his research on cells and new findings for how we can change our lives as we change our thinking. Dr. Lipton's new book - just out - is entitled The Biology of Belief.
The Wel-Systems world view is based on the new science, including Dr. Lipton's work, and builds from where people such as Margaret Wheatley left off, to actually support individuals in learning - in practical terms - "how" to live their lives from a quantum view of the world as opposed to a neutonian world view. They also have taken Maturana's work and have pushed his theory of autopoiesis way out, in terms of its' practical applications for our daily lives. As well, in using quantum biology, their work teaches individuals how to consciously decode what their bodies (as quantum biological processors) are attempting to tell them, and do so in an autopoietic framework, rather than an neutonian one. I use the Wel-Systems body of knowledge whenever I work with individuals and small groups, with life changing results. This new way of seeing the world also prepares individuals beautifully for when they use or engage their whole group in Open Space Technology. The results from Open Space Technology are much accelerated in terms of consciousness and learning happens in quantum leaps, thus having transformational results! Testimony to the thinking that there is always more! I'm actually giving a workshop on Reclaiming Your Voice during the conference. The actual website for the conference will give you lots of additional information, should you be interested. It is www.wel-system.com/awakening. Books and audio tapes are also available on the main website.
