Michael,
I appreciate your encouragement. Good to hear that OS has worked well in
school settings. I wonder about the possibility of teachers and students
doing OS together. My worry is that the teachers' participation will make it
difficult for students to take part freely. Like bosses and workers
together, with an even greater gap in the relative power of the two groups.
Yoav

Dear Yoav Peck,
over the last few years I have facilitated open space gatherings for
daycare centers, elementary schools, highschools, vocational
schools....and I know that several others on this list are very active
in this field.
My experience is that if there is a burning, complex, conflicting issue
that needs to be dealt with in a school setting, an open space gathering
for all involved is a good way to go...advancement of human dignity is
guaranteed in the process everytime without it being explicitly
mentioned. Its just one of the byproducts of working and being in open
space along with others, such as productivity, happiness, fun,
exhilaration, discovery, peace, love, grief,reconciliation,...

Prerequisite: There has to be a burning issue...

Greetings from Berlin
mmp
