OSLIST Digest - 21 Mar 2007 to 22 Mar 2007 (#2007-79)Hi Susan, Tova and I did something like that in the Human Resources yearly conference. We created a steering committee sponsored by the organizers, that included HR managers and CEOs who worked with OS, and some that the organizers thought might be interested.
Above the usual things they brought 2 interesting ideas 1. In our section of the invitation (that included the topic and a bit about OS), every participant was asked to invite another member of his organization, free of charge, to this 3.5 hours OS meeting, to enhance the diversity 2. Five sponsors of past OS events, from different sectors, were invited to tell the participants shortly about their OS experiences. The topic was something about bringing joy to the workplace, and one participant invited his father who wrote a book about joy of life. About 40 people attended and it was fun and productive all the best Susan Avner Haramati Jerusalem ----- Original Message ----- From: Susan Partnow To: osl...@listserv.boisestate.edu Sent: Friday, March 23, 2007 8:06 AM Subject: Re: Has anyone done a short OS as a break out session? I have been invited to offer Open Space as one of 6 workshop sessions at a conference - so I will need to attract participants who have other specific offerings to choose from. (This is a conference for diverse grantees from a foundation that supports small NGOs dealing with vulnerable populations.) Has anyone offered OS in such a setting? How have you described it in the program as an offering? What lessons did you learn? I plan to assemble a small group of representatives who will attend the conference to help me frame the question. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.
