Hello, all - Esther (hi Esther!)'s email reminds me - you may know this already John, but it is very important to have the best possible text in the program - ideally you may also get them to do a separate flyer. But the wording is indeed so important when it is running parallel with sessions rather than in plenary. Otherwise I have had people think it was an 'open space' in the conference (rather than capital OS) and they didn't know something was going on in the room. The good news is that a few people have dropped by because they thought it was an 'open space' - a free room - in which to have a meeting or do their work - and as you know this is welcome in OS (capitals) plus they found out about all these great sessions too.
I also agree that announcement from the front during plenaries is great - maybe you can have ongoing announcements - 'here are some topics happening this afternoon in the OS' or 'here are some things we talked about yesterday in the OS' to tickle peoples' minds and invite them to the OS... >From a sunny day in London, Lisa Lisa Heft lisah...@openingspace.net http://www.openingspace.net * * ========================================================== osl...@listserv.boisestate.edu ------------------------------ To subscribe, unsubscribe, change your options, view the archives of osl...@listserv.boisestate.edu: http://listserv.boisestate.edu/archives/oslist.html To learn about OpenSpaceEmailLists and OSLIST FAQs: http://www.openspaceworld.org/oslist
