Hello, all - Esther (hi Esther!)'s email reminds me - you may know this
already John, but it is very important to have the best possible text in
the program - ideally you may also get them to do a separate flyer.  But
the wording is indeed so important when it is running parallel with
sessions rather than in plenary.  Otherwise I have had people think it was
an 'open space' in the conference (rather than capital OS) and they didn't
know something was going on in the room.  The good news is that a few
people have dropped by because they thought it was an 'open space' - a
free room - in which to have a meeting or do their work - and as you know
this is welcome in OS (capitals) plus they found out about all these great
sessions too.

I also agree that announcement from the front during plenaries is great -
maybe you can have ongoing announcements - 'here are some topics happening
this afternoon in the OS' or 'here are some things we talked about
yesterday in the OS' to tickle peoples' minds and invite them to the OS...
