Hi Jon!
I don't know if I really get your question - but I think it is about having an 
OS- meeting when its not about an issue that is very urgent. If i was right on 
that.. :) - then I can testify that it works (of course) anyhow. I have used 
OST in lots of issues where it's  as you say a community of interest - to 
investigate topics, to come up with ideas or exchanges ideas. So from my point 
- it will work as always.
