Hello there!

I'm happy to report that invitation, opt-in participation and Open Space as it relates to Agile adoption is now appearing in an article in CIO Magazine, a publication that is examined closely by potential OST Sponsors in organizations considering Agile. This is a big deal!

The article is an interview with one of my clients, Mark Katz of the American Society of Composers, Artists and Publishers. These are the people who collect money from radio stations, Pandora etc and then pay those royalties to musicians. We are implementing Open Agile Adoption (www.OpenAgileAdoption.com) with Open Space at ASCAP.

The context of the article is about how a new CIO helped transition a group from ways no longer working (the old story) to new ways of doing and being (the new story) ....

Enjoy! I hope you might consider posting to Facebook, Tweeting this link, perhaps blogging etc. My (scary) keynote in Paris is on how to bring invitation and play (instead of mandated and "work") to the Agile adoptions. Here is the context:

Quotes:

to really ensure that agile was adopted at ASCAP, open space meetings were held where business users and technology staff participated. Attendance was excellent."

Open space meetings represent a repeatable technique for getting a rapid and lasting agile adoption. It's based on the hypothesis that /human engagement/ is what actually powers genuine and lasting agile adoptions.
