Yes for me naps are okey.

I am not sure in a non OS set up if it is
acceptable though to everyone if you nap during small group workshops for
example.

But even in these nonOS sessions participants accept if I
retreat at lunch break, sleep by the beach while they chat over lunch. They
don't expect me to be with them all the time.

And always when we
meditate or pause before or after a session to be silent, I tell my
participants it's okey to sleep during that 1, 5 or 10 minute silence. They
come out refreshed I think.

In one nonOS workshop, a big guy
approached me and said: "can I have a copy of your meditation music? I really
like them, it makes me feel so relaxed." So I gave him what he asked for.

In the Manila OS conference on the future of learning some
participants took a nap during sessions, Harrison was away and out of sight in
some sessions. There were mats all around inside and outside, under the
trees, so that those who want to take a nap can do so.

In one OS
summit though, I heard at least two participants criticize us facilitators for
taking naps while OS sessions were on going. For majority of the participants
it was there first OS.

So reactions can vary. It is important I think
to prepare the group well.

It's similar I think to whether we use
chairs, tables or not. Participants will have different views. <a
