Title: First Time!
Jen,

Congratulations on getting started! Not much to add to all the excellent words of wisdom so far. One piece of advice I'd add is actually not really advice at all. Opening Space, Wave Riding - it's a lot like being an explorer on new territory with no map. Each space is different. The fact that you're opening space - rather than driving or steering or "managing" the conference - is that no one really knows what needs to happen or what's going to happen. You're trusting that what needs to happen is what will happen (which is usually true anyway).

So rather than advice, will you say more about the new territory you're charting? What's the topic, how many folks are coming, and what's most exciting to you about this space you're going to be opening?

    Cheers!

Hello, Lovely OS People,

In June, I’ll be opening space for the first time, at a small but hopefully perfectly formed UK conference. I’ve attended OS sessions before, and I’ve read the book – marvellous, Mr Owen – but I thought I’d post here and ask what advice you guys would give a first-timer about OS.

Cheers!
