I have an idea how I might use it without much modification. I have built a tracking server to track multiple OsmAnd devices. They are displayed in an online web map. But ideally, a user would want to see the group of icons being tracked on the OsmAnd map display instead of switching back and forth to a browser map. The server stores tracked devices as a GeoJson file. If the API can add and remove map points dynamically based on polling, then the API would be a low effort solution. I'd like to see the ability to pick different icons and add POI descriptions as well. I will have to dig into the docs and code to see if that is possible.
