I agree with Dave. The orange marker has become less useful because it 
disappears so easily. It was better when it stayed. Even though I also 
wondered sometimes why it stayed so long, I would rather prefer that it 
stays. It must stay on the map long enough to be used, not disappear just 
as I am about to use it or browse around on the map. The behaviour does not 
feel robust or user friendly now because I must be so careful to not touch 
the map. Maybe the best solution is to mainly go back to the previous 
behaviour where the orange marker stays, and in addition make it easier to 
dismiss it when done using it (swipe something away or close something, or 
'X' it off).
