Hello Brett, Thank you for your answer. I have a very limited coding ability and I am using a Windows platform so I followed the instruction to install it from the following page ( http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Osmosis/Quick_Install_%28Windows%29). I thought my problem came from codehaus since in the osmosis.bat file in line 37 I found the following code (set MAINCLASS=org.codehaus.classworlds.Launcher). And I always got the message "Error: Could not find or load main class org.codehaus.classworlds.Launcher" All the webpages I found about a similar problem had to deal with Maven that I don't think is installed in my system.
