Abiding by their request would mean to forward any report where it's
not clear whether AI was involved or not (or doesn't look like it) and
to leave the final decision to them. The post is saying…

  "it’s nice to not have to guess whether the issue report is
  AI-generated or not"

…so it's a conscious choice and not just abiding to what projects
asked for, the way I read it.
