Just thought I would comment that it the static compile would allow Bill to
not worry about the changes to the main system libraries in the event a
system update changed the way some functions work (an API change for
instance).  This may be important in his environment to allow no accidental
interruptions of service to ossec.  In some larger enterprise and maybe
military environments, that would not be a bad idea.
