Yes it can connection to a database on second machine:
<http://www.ossec.net/wiki/Know_How:DatabaseOutput>
The section of the config
<hostname>remote_db_ip_or_hostname_here</hostname> will allow you to
specify the remote pg/mysql server to connect to.
