True :)

BTW: when using <agent_config name="blahblahblah">, will that config still
get copied to any other machine not named "blahblahblah"?

I just tested this out and machineA received the config where <agent_config
name="machineB|machineC">

So does the file still get copied over where machineA reads the agent.conf
but doesn't use it because it's not specified?

My understanding was that the agent.conf wouldn't be copied over, period. Or
at least that portion of the agent.conf.
