You need to update the defconfig for the kernel to enable support for
oprofile.
I don't remember if you are using OE to build the kernel, but if you
are, the defconfig is a directory in the recipes/linux directory called
linux-davinci-something.
It is hard to get enough execution time in ossie-demo to make any
meaningful measurements.
