She's no enemy, she was a rival for a political office - I think it's paranoid to think that she'd be working against Obama now that the election is over and that the only way to control her is to bring her into the cabinet. Their differences were political more than substantial - they are not only of the same party, they have much more in common than whatever petty nonsense might separate them. She will be very useful to the new administration - if for no better reason than access to a world-class Rolodex. I think it was a masterful move by Obama - not to control her, but to use her in her capacity as a powerful political figure who will make a great ally. She's not a tool - she's smart and will understand she's not there to be controlled, she's there to work in common cause with new leadership. She also, of course, wants to remain relevant and to raise her own power - Sec State is a much faster track to the top than spending the next few decades in the Senate waiting for seniority to apply. _______________________________________________ OSX-Nutters mailing list | [email protected] http://lists.tit-wank.com/mailman/listinfo/osx-nutters List hosted at http://cat5.org/
