Actually I saw an awful lot of turkeys in the supermarket
here, so plenty of people are planning to celebrate Thanksgiving here
in Central Australia -- must be something to do with that mysterious
spy base just out of town and the hundreds of people who work there!
I'm not planning on such a dinner though - it is so damn hot
I can barely contemplate eating anything that is above room
temperature! We've had a bit of a visit from 'top end' tropical
weather here - the normal weather is hot and dry (which is fine), the
current weather is hot and very humid, and so disgusting my wife has
decided to live in an airconditioned hotel for a couple of days.
