Interesting argument. If the camera is indeed producing heavily  
barrelled pictures, you can probably write a Photoshop action if it's  
predictable, as opposed to using Silkypix. If I were buying a compact,  
I'd be leaning very heavily towards the LX3 as well, so I will be  
following this one intently.

Having said that, I don't shoot RAW. I realise that one day I will  
most likely switch to RAW, but as I take hundreds of photos a month  
and tend to bracket a lot, tripling the storage required, I don't know  
if it will be that soon.
