Agreed. My point was that though the quote itself was clearly focused on
Obama failing at this specific task - and not in itself a sweeping hope
for failure on all points - it's clear to anyone listening that is indeed
his message.

It's simply insane - and, yes, unpatriotic - for someone with such a
massive audience to be rallying his troops to essentially pray for
failure, when the cost of failure is so high. This isn't about some fine
point of policy, this is high stakes. He clearly intends to be an
obstructionist, not the legitimate well-intentioned opposition. Where's
Rush's plan anyhow? A mere private citizen can criticize, bitch and moan
without a care, but Rush has influence that's hard to overestimate - he
can show his care for America by making deliberate proposals to help
America through, or he can kick and scream and sabotage - we all know what
path he's going to take.

But anyone who thinks we can get through this crisis - and Chuck, you're
wrong, it's not just the Left fear-mongering - by doing nothing is
foolish, and when they have millions of devoted followers, dangerous.
