That's what I meant earlier when I said my head was spinning with all the vmemes in that speech.

What's interesting isn't so much that he talks with the blue vmeme. It is that in the same breath he ascends through orange and green. So there he is talking about a problem facing the country and the world, and he brings in every vmeme to bear on it.

It works like this: say you're CEO and have to give a speech to your large workforce. Here's how you can do it:

This company is built on hard work, a long tradition of quality and excellence, delivering competitively to the market, innovating flexible new solutions, made with years of experience and craftsmanship, respecting the relationships with our clients, whom we regard as friends and partners, and the insight that our people have their own lives and families, which we respect, and welcome.

Although if you spread gently throughout a 20 minute speech it will be less awkward sounding.

So Obama can have very wide appeal, and each group can overlook the other stuff in his speech which ordinarily would send them screaming, like all the references to God. And more God. And did you notice the God?

The real question now is whether he can walk all those colours as well as he talks them, especially under stressful and difficult situations.
