        What makes you think that?
        I prefer the Clausewitz view that 'War is a continuation of 
politics by other means.'
        Sometimes war is driven by population pressure, and sometimes 
war kills enough people to make a significant difference in the 
population - but there are many cases of wars where neither is true.
