Ok, so I don't watch Glenn Beck, but you guys made me curious as to what the fuss is about. In a nut shell, he is going after the "green czar" Jones, for being a communist and a 9/11 truther. (garnered by google and his website) Both are likely true. My pov is this. Obama can hire any nutjob he wants, but we get to see ALL their dirty laundry. This is why we have confirmation hearings. For all of this, I see why Beck is unhinged about it, and why people are personally attacking him. He is taking the various czar's own words and publicizing them. I'd rather they go after his statements if they are inaccurate, because attacking him isn't going to work. I checked his ratings. 3 million + as far as I could find (Keith Olberman by contrast has about 1 million as far as I can tell. If the country is split 50/50 more or less that means that a *lot* of people that voted for Obama are watching beck.. If he tells the 3 million people that he is being attacked personally because they can't attack the truth of his statements, then the attacks could backfire. The righty folks weren't going to change their voting anyway, but the middle independents and democrats that *must* enjoy watching him for some reason might be influenced. Do this enough and the 2010 elections swing..
