That takes the intervention of a human being, I'm afraid. I use smart
playlists to build my iTunes DJ list which is what I use the most to
listen to music, but even there I am constantly removing tracks from
the coming up potion.

That last two days have been all Beatles, so I've not been in the DJ
list since I installed iTunes 9, but it looks like this:

[…]
-6 Heart Of Glass Nouvelle Vague Bande A Part
-5 Blindy We Go Jim White Transnormal Skiperoo
-4 Alabama Chrome Jim White Drill A Hole in That Substrate and Tell
Me
What You See
-3 Temptation The Bobs Sing The Songs Of…
-2 Puttin' on the Ritz Fred Astaire American Songbook Series, Irving
Berlin
-1 Swinging on a Star Bing Crosby American Songbook Series, James Van
Heusen

0 Blue Moon Mel Tormé American Songbook Series, Rodgers & Hart

1 Jailbird Jim White Transnormal Skiperoo
2 Freeway Aimee Mann Paste Magazine Sampler #44: July 2008
3 Static on the Radio Jim White Drill A Hole in That Substrate and
Tell Me What You See
4 Simply Irresistable Robert Palmer Heavy Nova
5 Hello, I Love You The Doors Greatest Hits
6 Pink Thing XTC Oranges & Lemons
7 Four Horsemen The Clash London Calling
8 Master Of The Universe Pulp Countdown
9 I Am the Walrus The Beatles 1967-1970 (disc 1)
10 Sugar Magnolia Grateful Dead American Beauty
11 Goodnight ZOX Paste Magazine Sampler #40: March 2008
12 Yellow (Crowd sings) Coldplay Shining Lights Bootleg
13 Take Me Away Jim White Transnormal Skiperoo
14 Yellow Coldplay Unplugged
15 How Long Blues Eric Clapton From The Cradle

Where Blue Moon is the current track. If I were listening to the DJ
list. I'd probably let it go up to XTC's Pink Thing which I'd drop,
and also probably Zox and the second Yellow.

I also use the remote app on my iPhone sometimes to add songs to the
list, which puts them at position 1.
