How do you monitor how active your website is?
My ISP provides tools for that. The few times I used the tools I
discovered
that 80+ percent of the hits were coming from various parts of Asia
such as
Korea, China, Russia, etc, etc . . . areas from which nobody has ever
bought
any product . . .
Henry, you are a constant fount of great info. Thank you. Can you
elaborate on CreateSpace?
I know only a little about CreateSpace. My friend / colleague
Lloyd Watts
has self-published a small book titled The Flow of Time and Money:
http://www.flowoftimeandmoney.com/
I have been involved with the production side of the project ---
design,
layout, typography, and so on . . .
What little I know is that CreateSpace is an on-demand printing
technology,
where printing and binding a single copy is economically viable.
Amazon
can (obviously) provide the order fulfillment, payment processing, and
shipping.
If your books gets wildly successful and book-stores start ordering,
you then
step up to a higher level of sales plus a whole lot of aggravation
dealing with
the big distribution houses like Ingram and Baker-Taylor.
Cheers,
