Just to be consistent, I think that the left should call for Obama be
brought up on war crimes charges. (knowing full well that the odds
are the same as bush's)

Report: Drone Strikes Increased Dramatically Under Obama

Speaking of Afghanistan,

You really should read the pdf of this guys resignation letter.
(linked in the article) it is scathing...

U.S. official resigns over Afghan war

I have friends there and my Sgt Major friend is scheduled to train up
a new battalion for deployment. (that would be his 4th or 5th tour!)

Blame Bush for neglect or Obama "This is not a war of choice. This is
a war of necessity," for pushing on if you want, but it's rapidly
reaching a point
where we should either leave or escalate and risk truly being in a
vietnam situation.

Deciding to not decide (it's been 60 days since the request for more
troops was submitted) is not a luxury a leader gets.

If Pakistan cannot successfully take control of the waziristan area,
we can't go in, and we can no longer launch attacks from drones then
there is no point is pretending that we should stay.

Add to that the recent revelation on the depth of the afgan govt's
corruption and you have the makings of a perfect storm around next
spring.

For better or worse, It's Obama's war now.

I truly hope he finds a way to win or get out without losing more
troops.
